Dr. Cohen is an accomplished plastic surgeon who focuses her skills, care, and attention on helping patients realize their true potential. She understands that there is more to plastic surgery than physical enhancements, so she provides comprehensive, compassionate care to everyone who comes into the clinic. With training in both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, Dr. Cohen is able to provide patients with personalized plans suited to their goals.
Dr. Cohen received her medical degree from the University of Virginia and went on to do extensive post-graduate work at the University of Michigan and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas. While there, she completed her residency and fellowships in research, general surgery, plastic surgery, and microvascular and reconstructive surgery. She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and dedicates time to speaking engagements aimed at educating groups about breast and skin cancer. Before opening her current practice, Dr. Cohen spent 10 years as the Associate Director of the Wound Healing Center and Institute for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Retreat Doctors’ Hospital. Her attention to patient care also earned her an award for Best Bedside Manner from Our Health Richmond in 2013, 2014 and again in 2015.
Her passions extend beyond the clinic, and she devotes her free time to her family and her art. When Dr. Cohen is not at the clinic helping patients, she’s spending her free time with her husband John and their two children, Faith and William, sculpting ceramics, or tending to her large garden.
